The Beginning of the End!

Factory farming is the practice of raising farm animals in confinement at high stocking density.
(Source:From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

After I read some disturbing articles about factory farming, in particular pig or hog farms, my in depth research began.
The information contained within these articles made me open my mind to how cruel and unfair these animals are being treated just to satisfy the human demand for food, beauty products and clothing. Animal rights apparently have been forgotten, shame on us for letting this happen. I found details about these farm factories, like how the female pigs are confined to a very small cage were they can't even turn around, or becoming extremely aggressive with each other.

The risks of factory farming rise as fast as demand does. I can point out a few problems, just to name a few, efficiency of food production; animal welfare; environmental impact and health risks. The conditions of which these poor creatures are in, make me hate myself for not doing anything to help the problem. If we all took a moment to learn about this issue, and start caring more, maybe all these companies would reconsider the the way they treat animals.

As I continue this research on factory farming and also animal cruelty, I will be sharing information and links that you bloggers out there might find useful.
